The accommodation comprises a lounge, well-equipped kitchen, four comfortable bedrooms, three bathrooms with showers, and veranda areas leading off the kitchen and lounge, as well as a large Lapa and braai area.
Bathrooms x 3
Please note: Each bathroom consists of a shower, basin, and a (flushing) toilet. The showers have hot water (via our gas geysers) in 2 of the three bathrooms. However, the hot water is only available in the evenings when the generator is on due to the gas geysers requiring a pressure boost.
Kitchen & Lounge
The kitchen is well equipped and has ample storage space. The lounge is spacious and can comfortably seat eight people.
The unit is equipped with gas and solar powered freezers.
Please note: For best use of our gas and solar freezers, patrons must spread their meat and other items between the freezers rather than packing a freezer to the brim. We advise adding beverages to the freezers as and when needed. The lodge has 2 x 210l AC freezers on standby.
A 12v DC solar system provides lighting to the lodge and for charging cell phones. The generator supplies power for additional (AC) lighting in the evenings and charging of electronic equipment (i.e. torch batteries, laptops etc.), as well as usage of the electrical appliances such as the microwave and electric kettle.
LAPA & BRAAI AREA
The Wilds boasts a huge Lapa and braai area. An ideal space to sit back and relax with drinks in hand, braai fire going, whilst taking in the spectacular sea views and surroundings.
Our helpers (Elizabeth & Villella) provide housekeeping and yard maintenance services, and Eric is our night watchman. Their costs form part of the daily rate. Elizabeth is renowned for her baked bread and fat cakes, so don’t forget to bring the relevant ingredients. She is also excellent at making breakfasts, but prior arrangements are necessary to source an additional helper for housekeeping services.
